UF Health Cancer Center Gynecologic Oncology Treatment Center

This project was a complete redesign and renovation of an existing Orlando Health medical office out parcel to a gynecological oncology treatment facility for Orlando Health, Dr. Veronica Schimp, and UF Health Cancer Center. Redesign included reception, lobby, gynecology exam rooms, 11 infusion bays, and conference/administration areas. The team incorporated the Winnie Palmer signature look with UF Health color palette to create a comfortable and engaging experience for patients, families, and supporters. It was imperative to the center’s physicians and caregivers to project a theme of personal strength and hope. Ramski & Company implemented this theme through material applications and design detailing and closely collaborated with the users on furniture choices for cozy groupings and activities. The user group elected to empower the patients through original art. Ramski & Company enjoyed resourcing original photography reflecting the natural, flexible strength of women. Women in thought provoking, strong poses are prominent in the exam rooms, corridors and infusion bays. The physicians captured the focal wall of the lobby/lounge garden space originally slated for a tile mosaic and commissioned a beautiful mural for their patients to enjoy while waiting, playing, studying, snacking, visiting and healing before and during treatment and therapies.
