Orange County Convention Center Destination Lounge
Orlando, FL
- 7,460 sq. ft.
- Associated Architect: Rhodes + Brito Architects
The heart of this prototypical “Destination Lounge” is the focal curved space outfitted with a 20-screen array and a wide variety of flexible seating options that gang, roll, glide, stack, flip and nest. This space was designed to handle every staff and guest event from lecture/presentation to workshop to cocktail party.
A permanent bar for beverage service is recessed into a highly visible corner, adjacent to a private conference space featuring powered, flip top/nesting wood conference tables and flip seat nesting caster chairs. This space easily becomes a convenient food service support area to the larger multipurpose space adjacent.
The perimeter floor ramps up behind the AV array to small seating groups where guests are treated to a shimmery view of the convention center floor and current events.
