Ramski & Company is a women-owned 34-year-old commercial Interior Design studio involved in a broad spectrum of market sectors. The Business Development Representative sought will be responsible for maintaining and developing new business relationships with clients to increase revenue. This position will require a candidate with detailed knowledge of the AEC industry to build client and sale strategies with leadership. They will coordinate with marketing, manage client relationships, negotiate and provide contracts coordination (with project managers), establish partnership opportunities, press & PR interface with marketing and coordinate exhibitions, lectures, tradeshow, celebrations arrangement. Our candidate will be dynamic and high performing, have experience selling services over the phone, via web-based presentations, and in-person. This person should enjoy actively building and growing a business pipeline, prospecting and relationship building.

Job Duties:

  • A minimum of 2 in person meetings every week with potential clients
  • Social media coordination with staff and marketing company
  • Be an active member in worthwhile organizations (CREW, NAIOP, TBD) that are up for discussion
  • Research and attend after hour events (Chamber of Commerce, Company Open Houses, Project Openings, etc.)
  • Weekly report to Principals on progress (in person meeting) to establish marketing initiatives
  • Work with leadership to create and implement a sales and business development vision strategy and budget to ensure growth, profitability, and achieve expected market goals.
  • Monitor business improvement action plans
  • Bi-weekly meetings with marketing (virtual or in-person)
  • Monthly meetings with Principals and marketing group (in person)
  • Introduce key studio members to potential company clients as appropriate
  • Be a visible and recognized representative in the built environment market
  • Maintain ongoing client relationships, as well as grow existing and new relationships
  • Use insights to position Company strategically with new business development initiatives
  • Cultivate relationships with AEC partners and colleagues across the geographic area to support studio market interests and needs
  • Oversee proposal development, including scope definition, process mapping, and compensation requirements with Project Managers
  • Maintain relationships with clients and industry partners alike including architects, real estate brokers, owner’s reps, consultants, project managers, etc.
  • Tracking activities in CORE software using studio methodology
  • Keep contacts in format available to all in Studio
  • Attend all relevant pre-submittal, conference and social business functions
  • Possess proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook), and other visual communication tools
  • Fluency with digital collaboration tools such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom, GoToMeeting, etc.
  • A level of familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, specifically) would be desired

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
