A Home Away from Home
Ramski & Company performed interior design for the new Ronald McDonald House, Nemours at Lake Nona, which opened to guests a week ago and filled 12 of 15 guest rooms the first weekend. Orlando is only one of six cities in the nation with three Ronald McDonald House locations. The House hope is to provide a home away from home for up to 39 families at completion. This first phase provides 15 guest rooms with infrastructure for the future third floor buildout and a Phase 2 building extending the guest room corridors at the west end of the site.
Community Service
For Ramski & Company, two years of community service to this special place has provided a great deal of satisfaction as the house has surpassed expectations. The new guest rooms have successfully employed lessons learned to create beautiful, easy to maintain guest environments featuring a special donor art program to make each guest space unique
and special.
Everyone wants to help an organization like Ronald McDonald House.
Our job as project interior designers was to create a beautiful, durable interior with clearly defined elements and encourage participation and donation toward a coordinated project. We were able to specify quality, and in most cases, obtain special price reductions with both in kind and product donations to ensure budgets could be met and quality would be maintained throughout the bidding and building process.
